Deidre Copeland is an award winning artist who has captured the imagination of art lovers, galleries and collectors alike.

It is not the face of the earth that attracts her eye, but the remarkable faces of it's characters. A love of people and portraits has always driven her art and ideas.

Deidre is originally from rural Southland. After gaining her 'Fine Arts' and Dip. Teaching in Dunedin, she worked as and art and photography teacher in NZ for three years.

She then spent the next seven years travelling the world - illustrating books, teaching, photographing, painting and exhibiting her work extensively in Tokyo and London.

Happy to be finally home, she now works as a painter from her private studio in Central Otago.
